Clubhouse Room Requests - Weekly

1. First preference shall be given to Officers of the Club based upon rank.

2.  Second preference shall be given to Directors of the Club based upon Club number.

3. Third preference shall be given to any Past Commodore.

4. Fourth preference shall be given to members based upon their Club number
for written requests dated and received between April 1 and April 30 of the request year.

5. In order to maintain an equitable process to make the Clubhouse Rooms available
to the general membership, the following policies will be adhered to:

(a)  A Member may request to rent a Clubhouse Room for multiple weeks but is only guaranteed
one (1) week of rental per season.

(b)  A member may only utilize their membership ranking number for the Clubhouse Rooms under
Rule #4 for a period of two (2) consecutive years.  Members will then be eligible to utilize their
membership ranking after a one-year hiatus. The House Committee may waive the two-season maximum
in a subsequent season if there are no conflicting accommodation requests
(i.e., the member’s Club number is not used as the priority to assign a unit).
An Officer or Director that receives preference based on Rule # 1 or Rule #2
above will have those years counted via the Rule #4 once he or she leaves the Board.

6.  All decisions by the Vice Commodore concerning rentals are final.

7. The leasing member must be the principal occupant of the unit.
It is the intent that one member may not use a number for purposes of obtaining
the unit for other members of his family, friends or relatives.

8.   There shall be no sub-letting of the units by the member.

Once confirmation of a rental for a Clubhouse Room has been issued, the Member is required
to notify the Club Office thirty (30) days in advance of the date of occupancy to cancel.
If the cancellation is within 30 days, then the member will be obligated to pay for the entire rental period.
The Club, however, will endeavour to find replacement occupants, which would then result in no
charge or a pro rata charge for the cancellation. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Member has
the financial obligation for the unoccupied time.
