Welcome Spring!
The time has come to start thinking about sailing and getting ready for the summer.
Saturday, May 9th is our annual Spring Lightning Fleet 12 Party. Join us at 4pm in the Pirate's Den. Please consider staying for the Sailor's Dinner which will follow. It promises to be an evening of food, drink and fun. The spring party is open to everyone: Lightning owners, crew, skippers, sailors, those interested in getting involved, as well as friends and family. Attendance is strongly encouraged.
I will once again be organizing practices and coaching for the BCC Junior Lightning team, with the assistance other Fleet 12 Members.

- March 15th, 2026 BCC Boat Grant application available
- May 9th, Spring Meeting:4pm-6pm Pirate's Den/Porch, Sailor's Dinner to follow
- May 24th, first Lightning Jr. Team practice - fleet tuning & rigging in the dry sail area
- May 30th, first Fleet 12 Saturday race
- June 9th, first Fleet 12 Tuesday race
- June 20th-21st: Lake Erie Districts @ Pymatuning
- July 5th, Sean Gregory Pro-Am
- July 11th & 12th, Lightning Canadian Open
- Aug 1st & 2nd, BCC Youth Invitational, Hughes Jr. Districts, Tom Franclemont Memorial
- Aug 5th -9th, WJM North American Championships,South Shore YC Milwaukee, WI
