BCC members have been racing the J/24 since the late 1970’s, shortly after the class was introduced. Over the years the BCC J/24 fleet has remained strong with participation by members new to racing as well as racing legends. The J/24 is one of the most popular one-design classes in the world with over 5,100 built and currently raced in 105 active fleets in 30 nations. With so many boats on the market, this is a relatively inexpensive boat to acquire and to race.
The BCC J/24 fleet races on Thursday evenings from late May to early September with 5-7 boats racing on any given evening. In addition, there are two, one day J/24 mini regattas, the first in June and the second in early September.
